Marc Onorato dreamed, as a youth, of running his own landscaping business. First in high school and then while working towards his business degree in college, Marc worked at one of Bergen County’s premier garden centers for over ten years. Here he learned to ask people what they wanted. He found he had a talent for helping them clarify their likes, wants and desires and direct them to the type of flowers, plants, shrubs and trees that fit their dreams and budgets and would thrive in the specific environment of their yards.

It was during this time that Marc discovered he had a skill for helping define people’s dreams and ideas and beautifully bring them from the abstract to a well-designed and planned landscaping or hardscaping project. While obtaining an understanding of how to run a successful business in college, he was gaining real-world learning of plants, flowers, shrubs, and trees. At last, the blend of the academic and the practical resulted in the creation of Onorato Landscaping in 2007.
